Job description

Axiom Staffing is seeking an experienced SMT Process Technician / Programmer to support programming, process optimization, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Program, modify, and optimize SMT equipment including pick-and-place machines, printers, reflow ovens, AOI, routers, and dispensing systems.
• Support new product introductions (NPI), first article builds, and process improvements.
• Troubleshoot and repair SMT equipment to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventative maintenance and maintain equipment calibration.
• Optimize SMT processes to improve quality, efficiency, and production output.
• Provide technical support to production operators and collaborate with engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of SMT process technician experience in electronics manufacturing.
• Experience programming SMT equipment (Fuji, Panasonic, Yamaha, ASM, Juki, or similar).
• Strong troubleshooting and preventative maintenance skills.
• Knowledge of PCB assembly, soldering, and SMT manufacturing processes.
• Lean Manufacturing experience preferred (5S, Kaizen).
• IPC certification and AOI/SPI experience are a plus

Pay

• 25-35 per hour depending on experience
