Job summary

Sanmina Corporation in Carrollton, TX is seeking an electro-mechanical assembler specialist to join our manufacturing team. You will program and configure SMT and assembly equipment, optimize line layouts, and support Kaizen/Lean initiatives to improve throughput and quality.

The role requires an Associate's or 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience, strong communication skills in English, and the physical ability to stand, walk, and lift sub-assemblies as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or technical training with relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of electromechanical assembly and PCBA manufacturing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Thermal profiling of PCBs and soldering processes.
• Program and configure SMT, Wave, Selective, Thru-hole, and other machinery.
• Support mechanical assembly and box build lines, including tooling setup.
• Develop and maintain assembly layouts and work cells for throughput.
• Run monthly validation of SMT and mechanical equipment.
• Provide technical support and root-cause analysis for defects.
• Drive continuous improvement (Kaizen/Lean) in workflows.
• Monitor processes to minimize downtime and resolve line stoppages.
• Coordinate with production teams and maintain communication.
• Analyze yield and defect data to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Maintain database of recipes, torque specs, and thermal profiles.
• Operate CMMS for preventative maintenance tracking.
• Handle chemical requests and evaluations.
