Job summary

PICA Manufacturing Solutions in New Hampshire is seeking an SMT Technician to program and operate Mycronic pick-and-place and Jet Printer equipment. You will set up and run processes, load feeders, inspect assemblies, and perform routine maintenance to ensure on-time delivery and zero defects.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to read schematics and work instructions, and IPC‑A‑610 knowledge. Prior Mycronic experience is a plus, with opportunities to advance in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Experience reading blueprints and job orders.
• Familiarity with IPC-A-610 standards.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to program Mycronic equipment.
• Experience with 3D X-ray is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Program and operate Mycronic pick-and-place machines.
• Program and run Mycronic Jet Printer.
• Set up and configure reflow oven.
• Ensure assemblies meet print and workmanship standards.
• Inspect solder paste and component alignment.
• Troubleshoot equipment when issues occur.
• Load feeders and wash boards as needed.
• Electrical testing of assemblies.
• Inspect with microscope, halo light, and X-ray.
• Stencil and screen PCBs as required.

Job description

Position Overview

Program and operate SMT machine to pick, place, and solder electronic components onto printed circuit board assemblies. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance to achieve on-time delivery, zero defects while maintaining productivity and safety standards.

Job Function

• Program and run Mycronic pick and place machines
• Program and run Mycronic Jet Printer
• Ability to program and set reflow oven
• Setup and operate assigned production equipment while achieving goals for quality, efficiency, and productivity
• Monitor the operation of equipment to ensure that assemblies are built to print and in compliance with applicable workmanship standards
• Inspect printed solder paste and component alignment for accuracy
• Understand and identify defects in accordance with applicable workmanship standard and class
• Perform manual placement of SMT and PIH components when needed
• Load feeders for equipment and wash boards as needed
• Electrical testing of assemblies as required
• Inspect product using microscope, halo light, and X‑Ray as required
• Stenciling and screening of PCBs as required
• Troubleshooting the pick and place machine when issues occur
