Job summary

Ducommun Incorporated in Huntsville, AR is seeking an SMT Operator to load, set up and assist with feeders on pick and place lines. You will cycle count components, assist with machine operation, and perform manual placement of SMT and PIH parts.

You will also help ensure proper handling of hazardous waste and follow safety procedures. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, can read load plans and production drawings, and has basic component identification skills and basic

SMT Operator

Load and assist with setup and staging of product on the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) lines.

Job Summary

• Perform setup and tear down on all feeders for all pick and place machines
• Cycle count all applicable components after each production run and notify stockroom of individual part count variance.
• Assist the operator in setting up and running all pick and place machines
• Perform manual placement of SMT and PIH components
• Performs other duties and assignments as required
• Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand load plans
• Ability to read and understand production drawings
• Basic component identification skills
• Ability to build electronic assemblies
• Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft and Outlook programs (Excel, Word, Internet Explorer)
• Ability to communicate issues in an effective manner
• Ability to effectively communicate among all levels within the organization.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance with various tools including multimeter.

Required Experience and Education

• H.S. Diploma or GED
