Job Purpose:

Sets up and operates various automatic or semi-automatic machines used in production. Works from process sheets or instructions from supervisors to perform tasks, and checks operations against tolerances.

Responsibilities:

• Familiarity with Surface-Mount Technology (SMT) components and assembly processes. Knowledge of different electronic package types.
• Ability to set up and operate automated SMT equipment, including Screen Printer, Pick and Place Machine, and Reflow Oven.
• Proper maintenance of SMT equipment.
• Interpretation of IPC 610 standards for acceptability and customer specifications. IPC certification is required.
• Ensure product quality on the SMT line, including correct parts and polarity.
• Proficiency with hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, and cutters.
• Maintain a neat work area following 5S standards.
• Practice safe work habits and report unsafe conditions.
• Assist and train co-workers when problems arise.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Education and Experience:

2 to 4 years of experience operating SMT equipment.
