Join Our Team as an SMT Machine Operator I at HME

We are currently seeking a Temporary SMT Machine Operator I. In this role, you will perform surface mount technology (SMT) machine placement and assembly of components on printed circuit boards (PCBs). This position is on the first shift, from 5:30 am to 2:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Load, calibrate, and operate SMT machines
• Load components into SMT pick-and-place machines as per documentation
• Calibrate and align component pickup locations
• Assemble PCBs using SMT machines
• Report assembly errors to supervisors
• Verify component placement and orientation using microscopes
• Manually align components before reflow, adhering to guidelines
• Apply solder paste with specified printing equipment
• Bake PCBs in reflow ovens
• Conduct post-reflow inspection and touch-ups
• Maintain cleanliness of the production area and equipment
• Communicate and resolve production issues with supervisors

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to read assembly drawings and documents
• Strong eye-hand coordination

The starting pay is $18.00/hr. Benefits include tuition reimbursement, three weeks paid vacation in the first year, holidays, medical/dental/vision coverage, pet insurance, life insurance, and 401(k).
