Reporting directly to the Production Manager, this role primarily focuses on brewing, blending, and batching our products. This requires multitasking, critical thinking, and intentional communication. Based primarily at our Scripps Ranch facility, you will play an integral role in maintaining product quality, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of equipment, and collaborating closely with our quality and maintenance teams to uphold JuneShine's commitment to excellence in crafting better-for-you beverages.

Who You Are:

You have at least one year of experience in beverage manufacturing (or a related field), a general understanding of fermentation, and knowledge of proper cellar etiquette. You thrive in fast-paced environments, think quickly and critically when challenges arise, and prioritize efficiency. Your strengths include excellent communication, attention to detail, hands-on work, and seamless collaboration with a skilled production team.

In This Role You Will:

  1. Cultivate a safety-first and team-oriented culture.
  2. Complete all applicable training, including safety, workplace violence, and harassment.
  3. Understand, uphold, and enforce our quality standards while following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  4. Perform brews, secondary transfer, and other "hot side" processes.
  5. Perform flavorings, yeast pitches, and other "cold side" processes.
  6. Process high-proof spirits safely and in a controlled manner, ensuring SOPs are followed, to batch our RTDs.
  7. Configure, operate, and monitor machine operations, including manual & PLC-controlled equipment using HMI, per SOPs.
  8. Manage safe and accurate batching of sugar with our induction process, check carbonation and DO on finished products, and manipulate pressurized systems to meet specifications.
  9. Operate CIP Skid, clean & sanitize fermentation and brite tanks, and ensure shelf-stable products reach customers.
  10. Maintain water tank levels, temperature, sanitation, and DO levels.
  11. Safely operate a forklift, load super sacks, and stage flavoring ingredients.
  12. Prepare and stage materials needed for brewing and flavorings.
  13. Complete data entry and participate in lot tracking.
  14. Maintain accurate production records and communicate effectively with the operations team regarding changes, corrective actions, and mechanical issues.
  15. Clean and maintain the facility, including tanks, parts, drains, racks, floors, and warehouse space.
  16. Participate in preventative maintenance.
  17. Perform additional tasks as assigned, including operation of secondary production equipment like balers, pallet jacks, and forklifts.

Must Haves, Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  1. Must be 21 years or older.
  2. Minimum of one year of brewing or advanced cellar work experience.
  3. Minimum 6 months forklift experience.
  4. Strong cellaring, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  5. Flexible with work schedules, including overnights, weekends, and holidays.
  6. Able to stand, walk, and be on your feet for 10+ hours.
  7. Capable of lifting and carrying supplies and equipment up to 55 pounds, and maneuvering heavier packages with equipment or assistance.
  8. Work in a loud, slick, humid, cold, and hot environment with wet floors and equipment.
  9. Ability to multitask and prioritize health, safety, and hygiene policies.
  10. Maintain professionalism and respect towards colleagues.
  11. Desire to work in a fast-paced, growing company.

Nice to Have:

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and brewery-specific software.
  • General maintenance skills.

Compensation: Full-Time, Hourly ($23.00), Non-Exempt

Additional Benefits:

  • Paid Time Off
  • Healthcare benefits with up to 85% employer contribution, voluntary vision, dental, and accidental plans
  • 401k with up to 4% match
