Job summary

Q-Edge Corporation seeks a Fixture Engineer to design, maintain and optimize SMT production fixtures for consumer electronics manufacturing. You will collaborate with production, engineering and quality teams to ensure fixture reliability, improve yield and performance, and support global operations.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering with 1–3 years of fixture maintenance or tooling experience, and strong CAD plus troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or above.
• Work Experience: 1-3 years of experience in Fixture maintenance, tooling design, or precision equipment repair (electronics/smartphone manufacturing preferred).

Responsibilities

• Fixture design: analyze and design fixture using CAD software and propose improvements to optimize production and fixture life expectancy.
• Fixture procurement: collaborate with teams to verify vendors and validate new fixtures, expanding inventory for mass production.
• New fixture IQC: Develop and implement SOPs for IQC procedures to validate samples from new vendors to meet production specs.
• Fixture diagnose and repair: diagnose fixture performance, reduce maintenance costs and prevent downtime.
• SMT fixture document management and technician training: document operation standards and train technicians.

Job description

Purpose of the position

Responsible for design, maintenance, optimization, and quality inspection fixtures for SMT production line (Surface Mount Technology, consumer electronics industry). Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure fixture reliability, improve yield, and improve fixture usage efficiency, reassuring PCB functionality during the SMT production process.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Fixture design: analyze and design fixture using CAD software and propose improvements to optimize production and fixture life expectancy.
2. Fixture purachse: Work cross-functionally with other teams such as production and asset department, to verify vendors, validate new fixtures and enhance fixture inventory for mass production.
3. New fixture IQC (incoming quality control) ： Develop and implement SOPs for IQC procedures to validate samples from new vendors in order to meet the specification requirements for production.
4. Fixture diagnose and repair: ensure fixture performance, reduce maintenance costs, and prevent production down time.
5. SMT fixture document management and technician training: formulate and compile operation standard, and training technician.

Education and work experience

Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or above.

Work Experience: 1-3 years of experience in Fixture maintenance, tooling design, or precision equipment repair (electronics/smartphone manufacturing preferred).
