Job summary

HiFyve is seeking a Surface Mount (SMT) Support Specialist for 1st shift in Olathe, KS. You will load components, verify feeder setups, and assist SMT operators to keep lines running. The role emphasizes accuracy, organization and safe, efficient work on a electronics manufacturing floor.

Schedule: Mon-Thu 6:00am-3:30pm, Fri 6:00am-2:30pm with every other Friday off; occasional extended hours. Pay is $19.50/hour and the position reports to the Production Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow written work instructions and process documentation.
• Basic computer skills operate common software used in manufacturing.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in electronics manufacturing or SMT production environments.
• Experience with SMT equipment and feeder systems.
• Experience interpreting BOMs, load lists and manufacturing documentation.

Responsibilities

• Load electronic components onto SMT feeders and verify proper feeder pitch settings.
• Install feeders into designated trolley locations according to setup documentation.
• Verify feeder locations using load lists, BOMs and work instructions.
• Unload feeders when production runs are complete.
• Audit production kits for component accuracy and availability.
• Assist SMT technicians and machine operators with machine setup and changeovers.
• Review and follow process sheets, visual aids and production documentation.
• Support continuous improvement of setup efficiency and material flow.
• Identify and report quality concerns, shortages and documentation discrepancies.
• Keep a clean, organized and safe work area following 6S and safety standards.
• Cross-train in SMT operations and support other manufacturing areas as needed.
