Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is seeking a skilled SMT technician for the Santana Isabel, PR site. The role involves supporting line start‑ups, configuring AOI/SPI systems, and developing reflow profiles within a safety‑driven production environment. Candidates should have a HS diploma with 4+ years of related experience and English communication skills.

Preferred candidates hold a technical degree in Electronics/Mechatronics and hands-on SMT experience in PCB assembly. U.S.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent with minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
• U.S. citizenship required to access information under this program/contract.
• Preferred technical degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Electromechanics, Automation, or related field.
• Experience in electronic component manufacturing or PCB assembly.
• Hands-on experience with SMT processes.

Responsibilities

• Support SMT line start-up, daily operation, and new equipment installation.
• Create and maintain Pick & Place programs and component libraries.
• Configure and optimize AOI/SPI systems and solder paste printing.
• Develop and adjust reflow profiles and SMT process parameters.
• Perform test runs, first-article inspections, NPIs, and troubleshoot issues.
• Analyze defects, conduct root-cause analysis, and drive corrective actions.
• Maintain documentation, train operators, and ensure compliance with ESD, safety, and quality standards.
