Job summary

Jim Brangham Auto Repair in Cathedral City, CA is seeking a Smog Test & Repair Technician. The role focuses on performing California smog inspections, diagnosing emissions issues, drivability checks, and ensuring repairs are done right the first time.

You will communicate findings to Service Advisors and stay updated on emissions regulations. We offer a Monday–Friday schedule, competitive pay based on experience, bonuses, paid vacations, a 401(k), ongoing paid training, and a stable family-owned

Qualifications

• Current California Smog Repair License required.
• ASE Certifications are a plus (L1 highly desired but not required).
• Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
• Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years old (insurance requirements).
• Must pass pre-employment and random drug testing.
