Job summary

EMPACT-SPC is seeking a clinical supervisor to lead and mentor a direct services team, ensuring high-quality care and adherence to ADHS/DBHS guidelines. You will oversee assessments, service plans, and coordination of care with external partners, while maintaining rigorous charting and reporting standards.

The role requires a Master’s in behavioral health, or a Bachelor’s with relevant experience, and a commitment to crisis leadership.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a behavioral health related field is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health with 2 years behavioral health work experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to remain calm in crisis situations, work independently and empathetically with diverse populations.
  • Maintain professional conduct consistent with ethical practice and agency policies.
  • If driving on agency time, a valid Arizona driver license and liability insurance are required; out-of-state applicants must provide a 3-year driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and document clinical and administrative supervision for direct staff on the team.
  • Ensure assessments and Individual Service Plans are developed and implemented per guidelines.
  • Coordinate care with internal and external providers and state entities as needed.
  • Monitor court-ordered treatment for compliance and prepare monthly reports.
  • Be available on-call 24/7 as scheduled and participate in coverage rotation.

What you’ll do:

Provides clinical and administrative supervision, clinical oversight, training and mentoring for direct staff on assigned team. Ensures clinical quality and productivity standards are met or exceeded by direct reports. Ensures that assessments and individual service plans are developed and implemented (according to ADHS/DBHS guidelines) for each consumer on their team. Reports to the Clinical Director at their assigned site; in the absence of a Clinical Director, reports to Site Administrator.


Essential Responsibilities:


  • Provides and documents clinical and administrative supervision, consultation, and mentoring of daily clinical operations for direct reports ensuring that the needs of participants are being met and that services are delivered as outlined in each participant’s assessment and Individual Service Plan. Monitors and evaluates, all direct staff overall performance.

  • Provides clinical oversight of services provided, assessments conducted, and individual service plans developed for all consumers assigned to their team. This includes monitoring productivity of all staff, ensuring that the appropriate array and amount of services are provided to consumers. Ensures direct reports are documenting service provision as needed.

  • Ensures that direct reports are providing coordination of care to internal and external provider agencies, state entities or other stakeholders (e.g. probation officers, advocates, family member, hospital staff, jail staff, vocational rehabilitation, etc.) as needed.

  • Monitors population on Court Ordered Treatment (civil and criminal) to ensure that consumer and team are adherent to all terms of the court order. Prepares monthly COT report and submits to Clinical Director. Ensures that line staff communicate with courts as required either in person or written report and that such communication is consistent with the assessments, Individual Service Plans, and team recommendations for the consumer.

  • Brings to the attention of the Clinical Director and Site Administrator any unmet service needs identified by line staff in the treatment planning process and assists line staff in identifying interim services available to meet consumer needs.

  • Available on-call 24 hours/day, 7 days/week as scheduled as part of a rotation or in event of a scheduled absence in which coverage has been arranged.

  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) Diff per hour available.

  • Must be at least 21 years of age at time of employment.


What you’ll provide:


  • Master’s degree in a behavioral health related field Required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health related field and 2 years behavioral health work experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to remain calm in crisis situations, work independently and cooperatively, recognize personal limitations, and relate positively and with empathy to all persons regardless of age, race, creed, gender or sexual orientation.

  • Maintain professional conduct consistent with ethical professional practice and the policies and procedures of the agency.

  • If driving while on agency time or on agency business, a valid Arizona driver license and appropriate liability insurance and approval for liability coverage with EMPACT - SPC’s liability insurance carrier is required. Out of state applicants must provide a 3 years of driving record upon hire.

  • Staff members who provide direct client services must be at least 21 years old. Staff members who provide support services (administrative or clinical) must be at least 18 years old. All employees will have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
