Job summary

QBE, LLC is seeking an SME Field Service Representative in Wiesbaden, Germany to provide hands-on, on-site GEOINT support for an Army intelligence unit. You will deploy, maintain, train users, and lead junior staff while coordinating with vendors and management on-site.

Requires TS/SCI, NATO TES A eligibility, and DoD-compliant host-nation status. The role involves independent field work and collaboration with a multinational team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of field and user support experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• SME-level user support experience and ability to work independently in the field.
• Certifications: ITIL Foundation and CompTIA Security+.
• Cyber certification: DoWM 8140.03 baseline certification and CE certification before privileged access.
• Host-nation status: Must qualify for TES A accreditation under NATO SOFA; résumé must show 10 years of work history with dates.

Job description

Be the on-site Scalable GEOINT expert for an Army intelligence unit in Europe. QBE is looking for an SME Field Service Representative in Wiesbaden, Germany, supporting the 66th Military Intelligence Brigade (Theater). This is a key position on the contract. Working independently, you'll deliver top-level, hands-on user and system support, set requirements, evaluate hardware and software, train users, and direct other support staff at the site.

What you will do

• Be the first call for users, solving technical issues in person, by phone or electronically, from printing and email to installations and operating systems.
• Keep a close eye on the daily performance of computer systems.
• Set up equipment for users, including cabling, operating systems and software.
• Work through technical manuals, user conversations and diagnostics to find and fix the root cause.
• Answer user questions about software and hardware quickly and clearly.
• Install and repair hardware, software and peripherals to design and installation specifications.
• Work with staff, users and management to define requirements for new systems or changes.
• Run commands and watch system behavior to confirm correct operation and catch errors early.
• Keep records of daily data communication transactions, problems and fixes, and installation work.
• Escalate major hardware or software problems and defective products to vendors or technicians.
• Evaluate software and hardware and recommend improvements or upgrades.
• Build training materials and procedures and train users on hardware and software.
• Inspect equipment and review order sheets to prepare deliveries to users.
• Run office automation feasibility studies, including workflow, space design and cost comparisons.
• Lead junior and senior staff on special projects, problem-solving, monitoring and installing data communication equipment and software.
• Modify and customize commercial software for internal needs.

Requirements

What you bring

Must have:

• 5+ years of experience in user and field support.
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• SME-level user support experience and the ability to work independently in the field, providing hands‑on help.
• Certifications: ITIL Foundation and CompTIA Security+.
• Cyber certification: DoWM 8140.03 baseline certification and CE certification before privileged access.
• Host-nation status: Must qualify for Technical Expert Status Accreditation (TESA) under Article 73 of the NATO SOFA Supplementary Agreement. Your résumé must show at least 10 years of work history with month and year dates and no gaps, plus employment types, duty locations, and degree dates and majors.
