Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, CS, Physics, or related technical discipline (completed and verified prior to start).
• Three+ years in automated inspection, machine vision, smart converting, or automated slitting systems.
• Experience with upstream inspection data, roll maps, defect classification, recipe management, or data‑driven converting workflows.
• Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, motion control, sensors, machine vision hardware, and data systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, integrate, commission, and support smart slitting and converting systems using upstream inspection data for recipe management and control.
• Translate upstream inspection data into converting strategies including roll mapping and defect classification.
• Develop and implement automated inspection solutions using optics, machine vision, data analytics, and AI/ML to improve quality and yield.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, process engineering, controls, quality, operations, and suppliers to deploy robust tech solutions.
• Provide on-site support, troubleshooting, and reliability improvements; travel as needed up to 25%.
