3M is seeking an Automation Manufacturing Technology Specialist to lead packaging automation and end‑of‑line systems across global sites from our Maplewood, MN operations. You will drive data‑driven decisions, set technical standards, and guide supplier engagement for new and upgraded equipment.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Control and Automation Engineering or related field.
• 10 years engineering experience in manufacturing, automation, or equipment design.
• 3 years in packaging automation, end-of-line systems, robotics or material handling.
• 5 years in machine automation, mechanical systems, product handling, conveyors, robotics and safety.

Responsabilidades

• Provide technical leadership for packaging automation and end-of-line systems across sites.
• Lead evaluation of technical options through data-driven analysis and risk assessment.
• Define requirements, specifications, layouts, throughput, and acceptance criteria for packaging automation systems.
• Direct project teams across automation, controls, robotics, vision, safety, and process integration.
• Develop automation solutions such as case erectors, robotic pick-and-place, conveyors, labeling and palletizing.
• Collaborate with controls, logistics, and maintenance to ensure scalable solutions.
• Identify risks early and drive mitigation plans to avoid delays and cost increases.
• Support CAPEX planning, project roadmaps, and cost/benefit analysis.
