Job summary

Siemens is seeking engineering students to join the Engineering Leadership Development Program Internship with our Smart Infrastructure Electrical Products division. This is a 12-week summer internship (May 17, 2027 – August 6, 2027) that will prepare you for a potential opportunity with our full-time two-year rotational development program upon graduation.

This position will be based at Peachtree Corners, GA, Roebuck, SC, Hingham, MA, and Grand Prairie, TX.

Qualifications

  • Structured experiential learning program for individuals currently enrolled in a degree or certificate program.
  • Undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week (Mon–Fri) from May 17 to August 6.
  • Willing to relocate for the summer and travel for business purposes.
  • Organized, self-motivated, dedicated to quality with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Apply classroom knowledge to real-world challenges and launch smart power distribution and power management solutions.
  • Work on development, innovation, and strategic growth of low voltage and control products.
  • Engage in product trainings, mentorship, and networking activities for your professional development.
  • Participate in various engineering functions including design, management, QA, or applications engineering.

We are looking for engineering students to join the Engineering Leadership Development Program Internship with our Smart Infrastructure Electrical Products division. This position will be based at Peachtree Corners, GA, Roebuck, SC, Hingham, MA, and Grand Prairie, TX.

You’ll make an impact by:
  • Applying your classroom knowledge to address real‑world challenges and launch smart power distribution and power management systems and energy‑efficient solutions that keep cities growing, businesses flourishing, and people safe
  • Working on projects related to the development, innovation, and strategic growth of low voltage and control products for intelligent electrical power distribution and switching
  • Engaging in a wide range of functions that may include product design and product management, feasibility analysis, manufacturing and quality assurance, project management, or applications engineering
  • Participating in product trainings, fireside chats with guest speakers, skills workshops, mentorship, and networking activities to support your technical and professional development
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
  • This internship is a structured experiential learning program for individuals currently enrolled in a degree or certificate program who will continue their studies following the assignment. Current and continuing enrollment is a condition of participation. Applicants who have completed or expect to complete their educational program before or during the assignment period are encouraged to explore our Early Career/ Leadership Development opportunities.
  • Undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in: Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week (Monday – Friday) from May 17 to August 6
  • Must be willing and able to relocate for the summer (relocation assistance will be provided if relocation more than 50 miles from your permanent address) and travel for business purposes
  • Organized, self‑motivated, dedicated to quality and excellence with acute attention to detail
  • Effective communication and problem‑solving skills
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
  • GPA: 3.0 or higher
  • Skilled in any of the following: 3D CAD, additive manufacturing, circuit design, embedded systems, microcontrollers, testing, C, or Python
