Job summary

NRG Energy is seeking field service technicians to install, service and troubleshoot cutting-edge smart home technology in customer homes. You will manage inventory and assets, explain system capabilities and convert appointments into revenue.

We hire for attitude and train for skill; a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required, with a 20-mile city radius. Base pay ranges from $25.79 to $28.90 per hour, plus benefits and bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• Sales background in retail, B2C or service sales is a plus.
• Customer-first attitude with ability to build rapport with diverse customers.
• Technical aptitude in cable/satellite install, pest control, construction or solar is helpful but not required.
• Requirements: valid driver’s license, good driving record, reliable transportation; living within 20 miles of the city.

Responsibilities

• Earn piecerate pay and enjoy an unlimited commission plan.
• Become an expert on smart home technology by training on industry-leading products.
• Install, service, and troubleshoot cutting-edge smart home technology in customer homes.
• Explain and provide detailed system capabilities and operational instructions to customers.
• Control your own income by offering opportunities for customers to purchase additional products and services.
• Leverage service and installation appointments into leads and revenue.
