Job summary

NRG Energy seeks a field technician to install, service, and troubleshoot smart home technology in customer homes. You will train on industry-leading products and earn a piece-rate pay with an unlimited commission plan.

The role emphasizes a sales mindset, customer-first attitude, and technical aptitude, with the ability to pass background checks and licensing requirements. Living within 20 miles and having reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

Experience in retail, B2C sales, insurance, or service-based sales is a major plus.
Ability to act with integrity while building rapport with diverse customers.
Experience in cable/satellite install, pest control, construction, or solar is helpful but not required.
Must live within a 20-mile radius of the city and have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; ability to pass background checks and licensing requirements.
