Job summary

NRG Energy is seeking an on-site Field Service professional to install, service, and troubleshoot cutting-edge smart home technology in customer homes. You’ll explain capabilities, maintain inventory, and pursue upsell opportunities while delivering a high standard of customer service.

Qualifications

• We hire for attitude and train for skill; experience in sales or service-based roles is a plus.
• Ability to communicate with diverse customers and act with integrity.
• Experience with install/service of home tech is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Earn piece-rate pay with an unlimited commission plan.
• Become an expert on smart home technology through training on leading products.
• Manage inventory and assets with a business owner mindset.
• Install, service, and troubleshoot cutting-edge smart home tech in customer homes.
• Create solutions to protect and simplify customers' lives.
• Conduct routine maintenance and inventory of company products and equipment.
• Explain system capabilities and operational instructions to customers.
• Influence income by offering additional products and services.
• Convert service and installation appointments into leads and revenue.
