Job summary

Amplify People in Carmel, IN is seeking an Audio Video and Smart Home Technician to install, configure, and service a range of systems in homes and light commercial spaces. You will work hands-on with an experienced technician and report to leadership.

The role values customer care, communication, and a desire to grow into more senior positions. The position is field-based (not remote) with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Hands-on installation experience in audio video, alarm or security, low voltage, or networking.
• Comfortable pulling wire, terminating cable, and using hand and power tools.
• Able to complete assigned work independently without close oversight.
• Professional, courteous communication with clients and teammates.
• Dependable and punctual.
• Valid driver's license and pass background/drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Install, set up, and program automation systems including TVs, projectors, speakers, lighting controls, and security devices.
• Run, terminate, label, and test low-voltage cable for new construction and retrofit projects.
• Build and set up equipment racks.
• Install and configure wired and wireless networks and related components.
• Configure and support control platforms such as Control4, Lutron, and Crestron.
• Maintain, service, and troubleshoot audio video, network, alarm, and lighting systems.
