Job summary

Nucor Rytec Corporation, a Nucor company, seeks a Smart Factory Operator I to operate and maintain Trumpf Bend Cell equipment and related tools. You will program, analyze producibility, run test parts, and support prototypes while keeping an orderly shop floor and safe work practices.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to read blueprints, and collaboration with management to resolve quality issues. 1st shift, Mon-Thu, with potential for growth within production teams.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret blueprints, schematics and technical drawings.
• Able to operate with minimal supervision once trained and follow SOPs.
• Demonstrates high attention to detail and accuracy in problem solving.
• Experience with fabrication or metalworking preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate Trumpf Bend Cell and related machinery to support door/parts production.
• Create/edit laser cut files and optimize layout for speed and yield.
• Perform quality checks, inspections and dimensional measurements.
• Maintain file revision control and support production scheduling.
• Perform preventative maintenance and keep work areas clean.
