Nucor is seeking a Tube Laser Operator I to run and maintain the Trumpf Tube Laser and related tooling, ensuring timely fabrication of tubes, doors and parts. The role includes programming, time studies, sample runs, and supporting production on the shop floor.

Responsibilities include file management, process optimization, and collaborating with leadership to resolve quality issues while adhering to safety standards and procedures.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and technical drawings.
• Proficient in sustaining quality and precision in laser cutting and engraving.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy for problem analysis.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Trumpf Tube Laser and related machinery to supply parts production.
• Create and edit laser cut files with Boost and prepare parts from cut files.
• Maintain files with revision control and ensure on-time delivery of parts.
• Perform preventative maintenance and dimensional inspections.
• Identify and report defective materials and quality issues.
• Work with management to resolve product quality issues.
