Job summary

Siemens Building Automation is hiring a Summer 2027 Building Automation Service Sales Intern to rotate through our local branch offices and focus on smart buildings and sustainable infrastructure. You will work with Sales Managers and Executives, support lead generation, proposals, and CRM data while absorbing sales processes and cross‑functional collaboration.

Ideal undergraduates are pursuing mechanical/electrical industrial engineering or business with strong technical aptitude.

Qualifications

• Must be current enrollment as an undergraduate at a 4-year U.S. college or university.
• Majors include Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Energy/Sustainability, Built Environment, Construction Management or Business Administration, Sales/Marketing with a strong technical engineering aptitude.
• Preferred: participation in a school sponsored sales engineering club/organization, pursuing a professional sales certificate or similar.
• Earliest Graduation Date: December 2027
• Availability: 40 hours per week for 10 weeks (May–July or June–August).
• Relocation: No relocation assistance or housing stipend provided.

Responsibilities

• Position Siemens as an industry leader among service providers, leveraging Siemens world-class digital service delivery as a key differentiator.
• Collaborate with operations and internal teams to deliver excellent customer outcomes.
• Help prospect for new customers and engage with existing customers on new offerings.
• Visit customer sites with both Solutions and Services Sales Teams.
• Develop value-based proposals, estimates, specifications, and presentations.
• Work with operations, finance, legal and other resources to obtain the sale.
• Attend job take-offs and turnover meetings.
• Participate in sales department meetings, workshops, and seminars to stay knowledgeable on current market trends.
