Job summary

Siemens Mobility invites undergraduates to join the Smart Buildings Fire & Life Safety Sales Internship in the San Francisco area. This 10-week, full-time program runs May–July 2027 (40 hours/week) at the Fremont, CA location, offering hands-on exposure to sales within Building Automation, Fire/Life Safety, and Energy/Sustainability segments.

Qualifications

• Must be current undergraduate student at a four-year US college or university.
• Majors include Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Energy/Sustainability, Built Environment, Construction Management or Business Administration/Sales with strong technical aptitude.
• Preferred: participation in a school-sponsored sales engineering club or professional sales certificate.
• Earliest Graduation Date: May 2028.
• Availability: able to work 40 hours per week for the 10-week program (May–July or June–August 2027).
• Relocation: no relocation assistance or housing stipend provided; must be willing to work at the branch office location.
• Work Authorization: must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside Sales Managers and Sales Executives within the local branch office.
• Assist the sales team with lead generation, prospecting, and account outreach.
• Support the preparation of sales presentations, proposals, and reports.
• Help manage CRM data by tracking leads and maintaining data accuracy.
• Shadow sales calls and meetings to learn effective sales techniques.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support customer engagement.
• Analyze sales performance data and provide insights into driving growth.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving sales processes.
• Participate in sales related activities (learning how to prospect, go-to-market, build B2B relationships, on-the-job training and shadowing).
• Rotate through our core business segments, which include Building Automation, Fire/Life Safety, Security and Energy/Sustainability Systems.
