Job Overview

The Merchandiser is responsible for presenting products attractively at retail locations, servicing and maintaining multiple accounts by merchandising approved products using safe handling techniques and following quality guidelines. The role involves following plan sets, planograms, and communicating with store management and cross-functional teams.

Schedule

6am – completion of the route; Monday – Friday. Routes service Spartanburg, SC, and surrounding areas. Potential interviews at our Piedmont, SC branch.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Fill, merchandise, and rotate products in cold vaults and on shelves according to procedures. Move products from sales floor to cold vault and displays. Create and distribute point of sale materials. Rotate products.
• Merchandise coolers and displays on the sales floor.
• Organize and maintain back room cooler, arrange products, handle returns, and dispose of packaging.
• Build business relationships with store personnel through routine follow-up, pricing, and promotions.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Effective communication skills (listening, speaking, writing).
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Interpersonal skills to satisfy diverse customer needs.
• Willingness to work in fast-paced, physically demanding environments (lifting 50 lbs. repeatedly).
• Ability to work reliably and independently.
• Critical thinking skills.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Good driving record.
• Proof of insurance coverage.

Work Environment

Varies, including exposure to weather, coolers, and customer storage areas, which may be non-temperature controlled.
