The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in Phoenix is seeking a part-time Small Group Personal Trainer. The role involves assessing clients, designing combined strength and cardio plans, and guiding proper form across equipment.

You will build and retain clients while meeting revenue and session goals. Qualified applicants have a high school diploma or GED, at least 18, CPR/First Aid, and 3 years in the fitness industry with certification preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or GED.
  • Three years’ experience within the fitness industry including machine weights, free weights and cardio equipment; certification preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification (may be acquired after employment).
  • Equivalent combinations of training and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

  • Assess fitness through initial and ongoing assessments and identify fitness goals.
  • Develop personalized exercise plans combining strength and cardio training with clear guidance.
  • Motivate members with strong communication, interpersonal, and sales skills.
  • Train and support members on proper techniques for free weights, machines, and functional training.
  • Maintain client records, progress charts, and required forms.
