Job summary

Excel Fitness in Tyler, TX seeks a dynamic trainer to lead PE@PF small group sessions and design personalized workout programs. You will stay current with the Planet Fitness app and tracking features while maintaining safety and client engagement.

The role requires coaching, strong communication, and the ability to motivate members to achieve goals, with responsibilities across training, equipment checks, and club operations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Active Personal Training Certification and start recertification 1 month before expiration.
• Uncertified Team Players may pursue trainer certification within 30 days of employment.
• CPR/AED certification required; CPR/AED training within first 30 days if not certified.
• Proven ability to lead, encourage, develop, and supervise others.
• Familiar with Excel’s mission, values, and Planet Fitness brand and operations.

Responsibilities

• Train members during PE@PF small group sessions.
• Design personalized exercise programs based on member goals and medical background.
• Submit training programs and logs to GM for review.
• Inspect equipment for malfunctions and report findings.
• Log and maintain training session data in club software.
• Engage members to drive loyalty and promote PE@PF program.
• Assist front desk operations and maintain club cleanliness.
• Represent the company at community events and outreach activities.
