Job summary

Planet Fitness is seeking a Fitness Trainer to design personalized exercise programs and lead PE@PF small group sessions. You will promote the PE@PF program, recruit members, and ensure safety by inspecting equipment. The role reports to the General Manager with support from Fitness Training leadership.

The ideal candidate holds an accredited fitness certification and CPR certification, with a passion for helping people achieve health goals in a welcoming, inclusive gym environment.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is required.
• Must hold one or more NCCA-accredited fitness certifications (ACE, ACSM, NASM, NCSF, ISSA, NSCA, AFFA, NSPA).
• Strong communication and customer-service skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Design individualized exercise programs for members based on fitness level and goals.
• Lead PE@PF small group training sessions (30–60 minutes).
• Market the PE@PF program and recruit members on the gym floor.
• Inspect equipment for safety and document issues per SOP.
• Enroll members into sessions using the Planet Fitness app and proper processes.
• Maintain organized daily and weekly paperwork and records.
• Educate staff on PE@PF programs and supervise staff workouts per SOP.
