E&H Ace Hardware in Cleveland, Ohio is seeking a reliable, mechanically inclined Small Engine Technician to join our service team. You will repair, maintain, and service small engine equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and generators, with training and Stihl Silver Certification offered within the first year.

We offer a $1,500 signing bonus for full‑time hires, plus extensive on‑the‑job training, parts, and customer‑facing responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certifications in small engine repair preferred but not required.
• On‑the‑job training available for motivated candidates.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair a variety of small engine equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance to keep tools and machinery in top condition.
• Test repaired equipment to ensure full functionality and safety.
• Maintain service records and equipment documentation.
• Order and install parts as needed.
• Communicate effectively with customers to understand issues and explain repairs.
• Provide guidance on equipment care and maintenance.
• Assist with selection of replacement parts and accessories.
• Keep the shop clean, organized, and safe.
• Stay current on small engine technologies and repair methods.
• Attend manufacturer trainings and pursue relevant certifications.
