Job summary

You will diagnose, repair, and maintain small engines on outdoor power equipment, perform tune-ups and preventative maintenance, and communicate repair status clearly to customers. A safe, organized shop environment and strong problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in small engine repair or a related mechanical field.
• Ability to diagnose and repair 2-cycle and 4-cycle engines.
• Familiarity with brands such as Exmark, Hustler, Scag, Kawasaki, Briggs & Stratton, or Kohler is a plus.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain small engines on outdoor power equipment such as mowers, chainsaws, trimmers, and generators.
• Perform routine tune-ups, oil changes, and preventative maintenance services.
• Inspect and test equipment to identify mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues.
• Order and replace defective parts, components, and assemblies.
• Communicate repair status and recommendations clearly to customers.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the shop.
• Document service records and completed repair orders accurately.
