Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking a Small Engine & Surface-Prep Equipment Service Mechanic to diagnose and repair commercial cleaning and surface-prep gear. You’ll work on gas engines, carpet units, extractors, floor machines, and related tools, applying manuals and test gear to ensure accurate fixes.

You will meet productivity goals, create service orders, and communicate needs to customers. A valid license, 2+ years’ experience, and a basic tool kit are required. Bilingual English/Spanish is a bonus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in commercial cleaning/restoration equipment or small engine repair.
• Valid driver license with clean MVR (no DUIs).
• High school diploma or equivalent; basic tool set provided by applicant.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair commercial cleaning, restoration, and surface-prep equipment.
• Hit quality and productivity goals consistently; create service orders.
• Schedule and manage appointments using scheduling software; interact with customers.
• Build bids and present repair/service estimates; order parts and coordinate workload.
• Maintain shop safety and organize work area; use PPE as required.
• Collaborate with store staff to coordinate service work.
