Job summary

PCL Construction, Inc. is seeking a Small Crane Operator for the Tonopah, Arizona site. The role focuses on safely operating cranes to support active construction, with emphasis on following safety procedures and project-specific lift requirements.

The position offers hourly pay of $36–$40, plus a per diem of $120 per day for eligible travelers. Schedule is Monday–Friday (5/10s). This is a hands-on role on an active job site, requiring NCCCO or NCCER certification and reliable, safety-focused

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months verifiable craft experience.
• 18 months industry experience.
• Must be NCCCO or NCCER certified.

Responsibilities

• Review lift requirements with area supervisors to determine working height, boom, length, load radius, load weight, crane capacity, travel clearance, extension of crawlers or outriggers/stabilizers and counterweights.
• Performing proper pre-function maintenance on cranes and other equipment
• Properly setting up cranes to be level and ready for safe lifting
• Safely lift, move, and set loads accordingly and within the load limits of the crane's load charts
• Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment

Job Overview: The Small Crane Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating cranes and related equipment to support project construction activities. This role performs lifting, moving, positioning, and placement of materials and equipment while following project safety requirements and established operating procedures. The successful candidate will be dependable, safety-focused, and experienced operating cranes in an active construction-site environment.

Position is available in Tonopah, Arizona

Compensation: $36 - $40 per hour

Schedule: Monday – Friday (5/10s)

Per Diem: For eligible travelers, a per diem of $120 per day worked is available.Restrictions apply.
