Job summary

Future, a Primoris Company, is seeking a Small Cell Technician to install, troubleshoot and repair 5G RF equipment along the public right of way. You will support aerial and fiber tasks, operate bucket trucks, and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for emergency repairs.

Applicants should have RF experience, knowledge of electric wiring, and the ability to lift 60 lbs outdoors. CDL/Class A is a plus, and DOT physical may be required. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have basic knowledge of electric wiring and testing.
• Previous experience with RF installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Previous bucket truck operation experience a plus.
• CDL (Class A) preferred or required.
• Must be over 21 with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must be able to pass a DOT Physical.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot and repair 5G Small Cell radios, antennas, cabling and power along public right of way.
• Perform 24/7 on-call rotation for emergency repairs.
• Safely close and reopen traffic lanes to complete work.
• Provide real-time status updates of assigned work.
• Collect and submit required information and photos for job closure.
• Remove/Replace or install small cell wood, metal or composite poles.
• Assist fiber crews with temporary aerial fiber installation or removal as needed.
• Remove and re-hang aerial fiber splice cases as needed.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Job Overview:

Small Cell Technician daily duties include but not limited to:

• Installation, troubleshooting and repair of 5G Small Cell Radios, Antennas, cabling, and power along the public right of way.

• 24/7 on-call rotation for emergency repairs.

• Remove/Replace or install Small Cell wood, metal or composite utility poles.

• Assist fiber crews with temporary aerial fiber installation or removal as needed.

• Remove and re-hang aerial fiber splice cases as needed.

• Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements:

• Proficient with handheld power tools.

• Must be over 21 with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

• Must be able to pass a DOT Physical.

• Must be physically capable of lifting 60lbs and working outdoors in Heat and Cold.

• Must have basic knowledge of electric wiring and testing.

• Previous experience with RF installation, troubleshooting, and repair.

• Previous bucket truck operation experience a plus.

• Class A – CDL
