Job summary

Beazley invites an experienced Claims Manager–Small Business to lead end-to-end management of diverse Small Business claims in the US (excl. NYC).

You will assess coverage, draft position letters, and work closely with brokers, insureds and underwriting partners to resolve claims efficiently. Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of liability claims experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to operate within Beazley’s standards.

Qualifications

• College degree; J.D. preferred but not required.
• Three or more years' experience handling commercial liability insurance claims.
• Adjuster license(s) may be required within the first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage a diverse portfolio of Small Business claims.
• Evaluate policy coverage and draft clear coverage position letters; communicate determinations to brokers and insureds.
• Manage medium to high severity claims, including Category 2 and some Category 1 with potential loss above $500,000.
• Collaborate with Reinsurance, Underwriters and Claims Team to share market information and improve processes.
