Cardinal Point Captains, Inc. (CPC) seeks an experienced Small Boat Engineer/Operator for vessel support at Naval Base Ventura County, Port Hueneme, CA. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, 4–6 years’ related experience or formal technical training, and the ability to obtain DoD security clearance. U.S.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 4–6 years experience may replace education.
• Military environment experience preferred but not required.
• Basic understanding of computer networking and MS Office.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and hold a CA driver license.

Responsibilities

• Operate small military craft (12–60 ft) and perform maintenance located at Port Hueneme, CA.
• Diagnose marine engine malfunctions and complete repairs to restore operation.
• Follow preventative maintenance programs using service manuals and schematics.
• Contribute to fabrications and procurement recommendations; assist as crew on vessels.
• Adhere to safety policies; may involve travel and remote deployments; 9/80 schedule.
