The engineer shall handle maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of small military craft and support at-sea transfers when needed. This full-time, non-exempt role requires daily reporting to Port Hueneme and may involve travel to remote locations with occasional over-night assignments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school training or equivalent experience may replace education.
• Experience in a military environment preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain small military craft (12’–60’) at Port Hueneme, CA.
• Diagnose marine engine issues and perform repairs to restore operation.
• Follow preventative maintenance programs using manuals and schematic charts.
• Support vessel operations and participate in at-sea transfers when required.
