Central Alabama Redevelopment Alliance (CARA) seeks full-time AmeriCorps VISTA members to build capacity by strengthening information systems, partner coordination, and data tracking for small business growth in Birmingham/Jefferson County, Alabama.

This is a 12-month, hybrid assignment focused on intake tools, referral tracking, workshop support, and nonpartisan barrier summaries to improve sustainable servicing for entrepreneurs who access CARA's resources.

Qualifications

• Must meet AmeriCorps VISTA eligibility requirements.
• Hold a high school diploma or GED.
• Must complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• AmeriCorps VISTA members will strengthen CARA's capacity to connect small businesses with resources.
• Develop standardized intake tools, business-readiness checklists, and referral tracking systems.
• Document procedures to sustain improvements beyond the service year.
