Job summary

Bowhead Family of Companies seeks a Small Arms Instructor to support the Weapons Systems Training Branch at NSWC Crane, Indiana. This position requires OCONUS travel for up to six months or more and security clearance.

You will apply extensive small arms instruction experience, develop and deliver training programs, and maintain rigorous performance documentation and weekly reports. This role emphasizes high standards and accountability in government settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and 7+ years of work experience.
• Graduate of a recognized military instructor training school or equivalent program approved by the Government.
• Demonstrable experience developing and delivering training programs.
• Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate extensive experience in small arms instruction.
• Maintain professional standards with attention to detail and meet government qualification requirements.
• Monitor evaluations; address and explain negative evaluations in weekly reports (CDRL A012).
• Adhere to Government rules: no more than two negative evaluations per year.
