Job summary

UIC Government Services and the Bowhead Family of Companies seeks a Small Arms Instructor to support the NSWC Crane Weapons Systems Training Branch. The role demands extensive small arms instruction experience, high professionalism, and the ability to meet government qualification standards.

OCONUS travel for up to six months is required. A bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of experience are prerequisites, along with graduate training and strong MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of work experience.
• Graduate of a recognized military instructor training school or equivalent.
• Demonstrable experience developing and delivering training programs.
• Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work alone or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate extensive experience in small arms instruction.
• Instructors must maintain high standards of professionalism and meet stringent government qualifications and performance requirements.
• Instructors are limited to no more than two negative evaluations per year.
• Evaluations are reviewed by the Government within 30 days; negatives must be addressed in weekly reports (CDRL A012).
• If more than two negative evaluations occur within a year, the Government may disallow continued performance under the contract.
