Small Animal Veterinarian In Privately Owned Practice

We are seeking a motivated, compassionate Small Animal Veterinarian to join our growing team. This position is available as full-time (4 days a week)

About the Position
  • Full-time: 35–40 hours/week
  • Typical full-time schedule includes four weekdays, 8:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m., with a two-hour lunch break
  • One Saturday shift per month, 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
  • Flexible scheduling to support work–life balance
  • No overnight on-call - we send our overnight cases to an emergency hospital within Sioux Falls

Requirements
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an accredited veterinary school

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and build trust with clients
  • Ability to work collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff in a team-oriented environment
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients and exceptional service to clients
  • Ability to manage time effectively, including working with scheduled 30- and 45-minute appointments
  • Willingness to work the required schedule, including occasional Saturday shifts
  • Interest in ongoing professional development, continuing education, and contributing to a positive workplace culture
  • Ability to perform physical duties typical of veterinary practice, including lifting, restraining animals, and standing for extended periods
