Hospital Description: Greater Cincinnati Veterinary Specialists, or GCVS, is a specialty and referral hospital that also provides emergency and urgent care. Our referral veterinarians are all board-certified in their field. We offer a wide range of services from internal medicine, dermatology, surgery, and rehabilitation. Our Internal Medicine department consists of two Board Certified Veterinary Internists. We provide neurology, cardiology, oncology, and internal medicine services including ultrasound, CT imaging, video otoscopic services, endoscopy, colonoscopy, and intradermal allergen screening testing. Our Specialists are highly educated in their fields of expertise. Our Surgery Service includes a Board-Certified Surgeon with extensive surgical experience, offering soft tissue, orthopedic, and neurologic surgery options. Our Emergency Department is well-versed in handling emergency cases, with consultations available as needed on evenings, Fridays, and weekends. We also offer therapeutic laser procedures for treatment and rehabilitation.

Qualifications

Candidates must have completed a three-year residency in small animal surgery and be ACVS board-certified or residency-trained. Qualified applicants are expected to be highly motivated and able to participate in our team setting. The applicant must be committed to excellent patient management, client service, and clinical teaching.

Additionally, applicants must possess the following:

1. Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university
2. Current DEA License or obtained upon hire
3. Active Veterinary State License
