Job summary

Advanced Ceramic Coatings, LLC is seeking a dedicated Slurry Operator on the 1st shift in Duncan, SC. The role involves operating automated Thermal Spray, Slurry, Chamfer, Laser and Ultrasonic systems while performing prep work and data entry.

You will work Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with potential for additional hours as needed, in a mixed office and manufacturing environment, adhering to safety and quality systems.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Familiarity with HMI, Excel and data entry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Operate automated Thermal Spray, Slurry, Chamfer, Laser and Ultrasonic equipment.
  • Perform measurements with calibrated instruments and monitor key parameters.
  • Enter data into electronic logs using Excel and related software.
  • Maintain safety and quality procedures on the manufacturing floor.

Advanced Ceramic Coatings, LLC. (ACC) is a joint venture between GE Aerospace and Lincotek Surface Solutions. ACC is a leader in the ready-to-engine airfoil applications market, namely thermal coatings for aviation components.

Position Summary

The Production Operator performs automated Thermal Spray, Slurry, Chamfer, Laser and Ultra Sonic machine applications as well as prep-work such as sanding, gritting, and taping of parts. This position reports to the Shift Supervisor.

Essential Functions

  • Run automated Thermal Spray coating booth,Slurry Spinner, Chamfer, Laser and Ultra Sonic equipment.
  • Use calibrated instruments to perform critical measurements.
  • Check and maintain key process parameters.
  • Perform standard maintenance activities on guns and equipment.
  • Keep the fixtures clean and ready to operate.
  • Prep-work of parts.
  • Sanding and or gritting of parts.
  • Taping and masking of parts.
  • Assist and perform duties as assigned by their supervisor.
  • Enter Data into Electronic Log Books using Microsoft Excel, Word or other computer software.
  • Use of powered industrial trucks and/or overhead conveyor systems.
  • Working in the Company's Quality and Safety System context, in accordance with its procedures and requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility

None

This job operates in both an office environment and a manufacturing environment. The role routine uses standard office equipment, such as computes, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The individual will be required to adhere to safety policies and procedures on the manufacturing floor.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.

The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lbs and occasionally lift and or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday 7am to 3:30pm, with additional hours as business needs necessitate.

Travel

Occasional overseas and domestic travel may be required to support the rapid growth of the company.
