Job summary

KLN Family Brands in Delano, MN is seeking a Slurry/Feed Operator for the 3PM–1AM second shift. You will prepare and mix slurry for pet food production, operate mixers, monitor quality, and maintain sanitation under GMP and food safety rules.

Responsibilities include following daily schedules, verifying product information, coordinating with shifts, recording process data, and training new staff. The role offers competitive hourly pay with a 6% shift differential and holiday/PTO benefits.

Qualifications

• General mathematical ability and basic leadership skills.
• Ability to follow procedures and sequences accurately.
• Willingness to learn and operate slurry/processing equipment.
• Able to lift up to 60+ pounds and work in a physically active environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and mix slurry for pet food production following formulas.
• Operate mixers and monitor process to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Record operation parameters and batch data each shift.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness; follow GMP and PPE rules.
• Train new departmental employees and assist maintenance as needed.
• Collaborate with shift teams to manage storage and tank usage.
