Qualifications

• An associate's degree in an SLPA program or a bachelor's degree in a speech language pathology or communication disorders program
• Minimum of 100 hours of supervised field work experience or its clinical experience equivalent
• Demonstration of competency in the skills required of an SLPA
• Must secure IBOL SLPA licensure prior to employment

Responsibilities

• Assist the SLP with screenings (without clinical interpretation)
• Assist in assessment without administration/interpretation
• Provide telepractice support as directed by the supervising SLP
• Document student performance and report to the supervising SLP
• Maintain Medicaid billing data
• Follow documented treatment plans and protocols
• Support SLP in administrative duties
• Maintain high ethical standards and confidentiality
