Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and assess home environments to identify speech/language function needs.
• Develop and implement plans of care to address functional speech defects.
• Administer specialized therapeutic techniques and recommend communication aids as needed.
• Instruct patients, families, and caregivers on treatment regimes and collaborate with other healthcare personnel.
• Maintain accurate clinical notes and participate in discharge planning using the company's electronic medical record system.
• Attend in‑services, case conferences, and meetings to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Maintain clinical competency in speech‑language pathology practices.
• May supervise home health aides related to the speech‑language therapy plan of care.

Qualifications

• Master’s or doctoral degree in speech-language pathology (SLP).
• Licensed as a speech-language pathologist by the state or fulfilling requirements if the state does not license SLPs.
• Minimum of one (1) year's clinical experience in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
