Job summary

PruittHealth is seeking a licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) / Speech Therapist for on-site work at 112 Hospital Drive, Washington, GA 30673. This PRN role focuses on improving communication, cognition, swallowing, and quality of life for patients in post-acute care settings.

Responsibilities include evaluating and treating disorders, developing individualized plans, and collaborating with physicians, nurses, therapists, and families.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program.
• Current Speech Language Pathologist license in the state of practice.
• CCC-SLP preferred.
• Clinical Fellowship candidates considered where applicable.
• Experience in rehabilitation, skilled nursing, home health, or post-acute care preferred.
• Foreign-trained applicants must possess credentials deemed substantially equivalent by an ASHA-approved evaluation organization.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Perform dysphagia, cognitive, and communication assessments.
• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to patient goals.
• Monitor progress and adjust interventions as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and caregivers.
• Educate patients and families on treatment objectives and outcomes.
