Job summary

PruittHealth in Aiken, SC is seeking a licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a PRN position. Join a team delivering therapy services to improve communication, cognition, swallowing, and overall quality of life in post-acute settings.

The role emphasizes individualized treatment, collaboration with care teams, and thorough documentation. Prior rehab/post-acute experience is preferred; Clinical Fellowship candidates may be considered.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program.
• Current Speech Language Pathologist license in the practicing state.
• Clinical Fellowship candidates may be considered.
• Experience in rehabilitation, skilled nursing, home health, or post-acute care preferred.
• Foreign-trained applicants must possess credentials deemed substantially equivalent by an ASHA-approved evaluation organization.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Perform dysphagia, cognitive, and communication assessments.
• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to patient goals.
• Monitor progress and adjust interventions as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and caregivers.
• Educate patients and families on treatment objectives and outcomes.

Education

Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology

Current Speech Language Pathologist license in state of practice

ASHA-accredited program

Clinical Fellowship candidate considered
