Job summary

Five Star Nursing seeks a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a Skilled Nursing Facility in New York. You will perform evaluations, develop treatment plans, and provide therapy to patients with conditions such as stroke, TBI, Parkinson’s, and MS. EMR documentation is part of daily responsibilities.

The role offers flexible scheduling (FT/PT/Per Diem) with full onboarding support, paid orientation, and weekly pay. Licensure and CCC are required. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Current NYS SLP License and Registration
• Clinical Competence Certification (CCC)
• CPR Certificate
• EMR Competence
• Meets all State and Federal requirements for US employment in a Nursing Facility
• Malpractice/Liability Insurance (if applicable)

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient speech or swallow evaluations and/or screens of patients
• Develop plan of care, downgrade/upgrade as appropriate, manage meal texture
• Provide quality therapy services to individuals in an SNF setting, who require care related to TBI, CVA, Stroke, Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, Cancer, orthopedic surgery, and other debilitating diagnosis.
• Monitor and document patient progress with the use of EMR software

Pay Rate: $46-$48 Hourly (W-2), $57-$60 Hourly (1099)

Speech Language Pathologist Job Duties:

• Provide efficient speech or swallow evaluations and/or screens of patients

• Not accepting Clinical Fellows (CFY) at this time.
• Current NYS SLP License and Registration
