Job summary

Driftwood Healthcare Center-Hayward is hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate residents, develop care plans, and provide direct treatment within scope and guidelines. The role includes testing, swallow therapy, and ensuring patient records stay confidential.

Qualified candidates hold an MS in Speech-Language Pathology, a current California SLP license, and certification in clinical competency; one year of experience is preferred. A sign-on bonus is available.

Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.
• Certification in Clinical Competency required.
• Current California license to practice Speech-Language Pathology required.

Responsibilities

• Screens and evaluates residents and develops appropriate plan of care.
• Provides direct resident treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Administers, scores, and interprets specialized hearing and speech tests.
• Works with residents for functional swallow techniques.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
