Adoration Health, a BrightSpring Health Services affiliate, seeks a Speech Language Pathologist for home health coverage in the Destin/Pensacola area. The role offers a PRN flexible schedule and 1:1 patient care with Escambia and Santa Rosa coverage.

Requires a Master's in Speech Language Pathology, active state licensure, and BLS/CPR. The position emphasizes independent work with team support and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted license as a Speech Language Pathologist by the practicing state.
• BLS or CPR certification in accordance with state regulations.
• One year of work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate speech or language levels and determine therapy needs.
• Teach patients how to produce sounds and improve voice quality.
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language.
• Educate healthcare team members and caregivers to support progress beyond direct sessions.
• Document progress and submit visit notes per agency policy.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• A minimum of one (1) year's work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations
